Born in Antwerp, Belgium, and trained at Christie’s in London, Arthur van der Straeten is an international interior designer and landscaper known for his refined and eclectic approach. His work reveals a deep respect for architectural heritage, balanced with a contemporary sense of comfort.

Notable among his projects is the Manoir des Basses-Rivières in the Loire Valley, an early 18th century folly transformed into a home of understated elegance; its gardens received the label “Remarquable ” in 2023 from the French Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Other commissions include the Château de Baronville, the medieval tower at the Château de Maintenon, a 17th century hôtel particulier on the Ile Saint Louis in Paris and numerous other private residences, parks and gardens in London, Paris, the French countryside and Belgium.
